What do Midterm elections mean? I registered to vote now what.
listen up bottom line if you are 18 and have a reliable brain in this political climate, you have a responsibility... to make sure Tru*p is out of office. for good.
Tis the season, yes thats right. Midterm election season. As you may have received emails, even mail, political science majors screaming on campus at 10 am, or even your own mother telling you, you should definitely register to vote.
Oh but you see 'my vote doesn't' matter, you may say. Oh until it actually does. You may be fixed upon the argument that in fact you're vote won't count out of all the votes that will...
But that simply isn't true, but before I prove you wrong. Here are some Straight Up Facts
-WHAT IS A MIDTERM ELECTION?
-A Midterm election is an election held every four years, coincidentally at the MID-point of a presidency.
In these type of elections, one votes for certain categories of their local to regional government positions of power.
Senator, Governor, Secretary of State, Treasurer, Attorney General, Commissioner, Board of Education
(Are the main 'categories')
-WAIT SO THEIR ISN'T A BOX I CAN CHECK, WHERE IT SAYS 'KEEP TRU*P' AND 'KICK THE MISOGYNIST OUT'?
Sadly, no. But technically yes.
By you, going out to vote for all these candidates that best align with what you believe in, you and other like minded individuals will in turn influence those political views on the senate, these senate seats influence those seats on congress. Congress and the senate can begin the process of impeachment. SO yes, you by checking a box can change your government.

-OKAY, I REGISTERED TO VOTE...NOW WHAT?
-After you have registered, you will get a pamphlet in the mail addressed to your name. This is the voter information guide to your states general election. This will basically give you all the facts and inform you who's with it and who just is not.
-Now that you're informed you can go out and vote in your local polling place or sign up to get sent your ballot through the mail.
Now, you tell you're friends that you may not be able to drink legally but you are able to vote and thats pretty damn revolutionary.
